On this episode of the podcast, we dig deeper into Reading Group, a label based in New York City and co-run by Derek Baron and Emily Martin, who also collaborate together in the recording project Permanent Six Flags. You’ll hear selections from almost every release that they have put out since starting the label in 2016, plus a few tracks from forthcoming titles. I also recently had a chance to speak with Derek about some of the motivations and curatorial choices behind the label. We also discussed his own solo and collaborative sound work that has appeared on other notable imprints such as Penultimate Press, Recital, and Power Moves Library. I hope you enjoy this episode. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or comments. As always, thanks for looking and listening.
