On this installment of the podcast show, we dial in our attention to Marginal Frequency, a label run by sound artist and audio engineer, Alan Jones, or perhaps more commonly referred to in his own creative pursuits as A.F. Jones. I had a chance to speak with Alan about the work he has been doing with Marginal Frequency and with Laminal Audio, his professional mastering studio. We also discuss his own solo and collaborative work that he has been up to in recent years, including his forthcoming album due out on Gertrude Tapes later this summer. In addition to this interview, throughout the show, you’ll hear a broad sampling of the Marginal Frequency catalog to date, along with some of Jones’ own work that has appeared on other imprints. I hope you enjoy this new episode. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or comments. As always, thanks for looking and listening.
