Welcome to the sixth episode of the Stay-at-Home Edition of Free Form Freakout. I hope you all had a decent week. It’s looking like some of the restrictions that have been in place are slowly starting to be lifted, but it’s still looking like we have quite a long road ahead of us. But, as I have to keep telling myself, we can do this!!
For this show, I have a bunch of new stuff to play for you. I’m guessing there might be at least a few of you out there checking in that grabbed some things from Bandcamp on Friday in an effort to support artists and labels during this time. I snagged a small grip of things, so I figured I’d play some of that material in the second half of the show. The first half ended up being sort of unintentionally heavy on music from Down Under, which given the artists involved I was totally fine with. Another feature, a recurring one at this point, is my overuse and misuse of certain words and phrases. This week’s highlights include “wonderful” and “hails from”. Maybe recording these shows first thing in the morning isn’t such a good idea after all, but I hope you can overlook this and get something out of the music. Check out the links below for more information about each of the releases played and try to support these artists and labels as much as you can even when it’s not a special day on Bandcamp. Remember, like the idea that every day is Record Store Day, every day is a good day to support music and art that is important to you. Hope you enjoy this episode!! Feel free to get in touch if you have any comments and questions.
